Yes, maybe I'm the last to know, but according to Jim Freedman of Metropolitan Appliance, you will be able to replace that aging major home appliance, with a federal stimulus/energy efficiency credit on the purchase of a new, energy efficient refrigerator, or clothes washer.....
Contact your local appliance dealer and part of your tax dollars will come back to you when you purchase during the Cash for Clunkers- Major Appliances going on NOW. New York went thru their cash in days. Ours should last a month or two.
