Enough already!

My radio & TV blares out ads that start:
"In these times..." or "These days..." or "Tough times...."
The news (be it web or paper) has stories and ads that scream:
"In these tough times..." or "Now more than ever..."
Enough is enough!
We know that we're in a deep recession. Why must we continue this mantra, this drumbeat of negative-ism?
Self-talk is a powerful tool, of creation AND destruction.
I now, in an almost Pavlovian response, immediately change the radio or tv signal, turn the page, or click the mouse to get away from these messages.
"Times" will be what they will be. "Economics" in a macro-sense, is beyond our control.
I am hereby banning, this negative self-talk from my experience.
It won't be easy, but I am getting quicker at changing the channel, the newpaper page, the websites I visit.
You are also recommended to follow this advice, and call me in the morning...
